Miss Marin L. Solo D/o Pu Nahlo Solo,  College Veng, Saiha was crowned Miss Gov’t Aizawl College (GAC) during the college’s Fest 2010, Saiha-based Moonlight newspaper reported.According to the official website of Gov’t Aizawl College, GAC’s College Fest 2010 was held from Nov. 29 – Dec.1, 2010. Miss Marin was Miss Mara Beautiful Smile when Miss Mara pageant was held a year ago at Saiha, Mizoram.

Mara Students’ Organisation (MSO), General Headquarters, Saiha organised  a special programme of felicitating the three new Mizoram Civil Service (MCS) officers from the district at I&PR Hall, Saiha town, some 378 km south of Aizawl, Mizoram state capital on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. The successful MCS candidates are 2nd rank Mr. M. Misael of New Saiha (Siata), the 4th rank Mr. Abraham Beirazi Khithie, Saiha Vengpui (Chakhei/Chakhang) and the 5th rank Mr. MH. A reliable source said the people of Laki village in Saiha district in  Southern part of Mizoram have left Evangelical Church of Maraland (ECM) en-mass this week to establish a new Church under the banner of ‘Baptist Church of Maraland’ (BAM), according to Maraland.net.

In the appeal, the agency said that the High Court had not come to the right conclusion and the charges of criminal conspiracy should be restored against them. The High Court had on May 20 last year dismissed the CBI plea seeking revival of criminal conspiracy charges against top BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders which also included Ashok Singhal, Giriraj Kishore, Vinay Katiyar, Vishnu Hari Dalmiya, Sadhvi Rithambara and Mahant Avaidya Nath. The other leader were former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, besides Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray.
